Cant straighten hair when come out of shower?

Heya, i recently started to straighten my hair. However when i go for a shower and use shampoo and conditioner, my hair becomes fluffy and big and chunky...obviously i cant straighten it at all.

Any ideas of how to overcome this?

buy a wet to dry straighteners, or, once your hair is dry, get some croc clips and straighten hair section by section. my friend has proper curly hair, and manages hers, so if you find the ight pair or straighteners, you'll manage fine.

You can try waiting a while for you hair to smoothen out then straighten it. I have the same problem so I'd usually shower and hour + before I go and straighten my hair.

i put a small bit of aveda light elements in my hair this smooths it down a bit and as you iron it kind of evaporates as its not oil based --at least thats what the lady in the store told me......but it works for me ,also i wait till its nearly dry not completly dry.

then use some 'wet to straight' straighteners.

you can adjust the heat setting so you can adjust it to the type of hair you have.

Try to blow dry it straight aswell, but before you do, put some styling wax or hair serum on.

Then when its dry, put some more wax or serum on before you straighten it.
