I feel it means that you are holding on to something that you feel you are going to lose! a job, a guy, friendship, etc... I have had many dreams of losing something personal. And I would let go and put very little effort or thought into the person, place or thing. And sometimes I would lose it and some times it would stay. But, I took all my emotions out of it so it wouldnt hurt so bad if it was a loss. But, anytime I lost, I got 10 times better. I wouldnt never ever want to go back. But, it was my world at the time.
