OK... well I straighten my hair (i have naturally curly hair) in the morning and it's just fine, but then I have B-Ball practice in the morning and we have to put our hair up. And it makes a big lump in my hair. Is there any possible way to keep it straight??

no not really, i did the same in the past.

you can use harispray but it only works to a point.

even people with straight hair (naturally) can get bumps from putting their hair up...theirs just goes straight naturally again cos its made that way.

personally, i stopped straightening my hair and started finding better ways to wear it curly.

but belive me the only wat to keep it straight is to keep straightening.

instead of a tight ponytail, try a more lose, lower ponytail. also try to use a softer crunchie. or you can wrap your hair in a bun, that will not make a bump and that is what some girls do (i saw this during a pageant competition).

try using a hair straightner or if that doesn't work go to salon. it doesn't make your hair permanently straight but they do make it straight for at least 3 months

Okay, I know how you feel because that happens to me in my travel soccer team. Okay here's what you do:

You do your normal shampoo and condition wash.

Now instead of letting it dry by itself brush your hair out with a brush in one hand and in the other hand you have a blow dryer. like that hand ones'.[lol]. and keep doing it until your hair becomes nice and dry. but not too hott.

You can have a hair dresser put a relaxer on it if you want to do something drastic. Or, use anti-frizz products in your hair. Also, if the lump is caused by a rubber band, then take a wet brush through your hair in the spot and straighten it out. You can also use a stretch cloth band to wrap your hair up for practice (like in a bun or pony tail). Good luck. Naturally curly hair is a lucky thing to have.....but I understand wanting to be different from what you are given!

Sunsilk CREME. its the only brand i use. thers this cream stuff that u put in its in a purple bottle and its called sunsilk sells for about $3-4.00 and it work sooo good. AND it smells good. if u dont want a mark in ur hair, i think u shud use a scrunchie instead of a hair tie. or dont tie it too tight or use a looser kind of hair tie.

You should buy a hair relaxer. Not a perm which makes your hair curly. but a relaxer, which relaxes curly hair and makes it straight for over 2-6 months depending on your hair texture: ex. coarse and curly or soft and curly.

go to a beauty supply store or hair salon and ask which relaxer would be best for you.

If you don't want to use any chemicals please buy some ceramic flat irons, they work like a charm. will last for at least 3-5 days. don't get any cheap ones buy the kind that cost at least $35.00.
