How can I get my hair like this! Please!?

So, my hair was super curly, like ringlet curly, when i was little. Then I braided my hair alot and that made it wavy all the time. Plus it got longer and that waved all my curls down. Then I straignted my hair for a long time. Then I gave my hair a break for like a year cause it was totally fried. Now my hair is just ONE BIG FRIZZ BALL. AHHHH!!! Its got curls and straight stragley frizz stransand the whole thing is just big and puffy. So, does anyone know how I can get my hair like this: http://www.tvguide.com/images/pgimg/avri...

i'm pretty sure she curls her hair to get it to look like that, try curling it with a barrel curling iron (one of the big ones) also try products of either damaged or frizzy hair (sunsilk works great:)

ummmm....grow it out(unless it is that longish) then print out that picture, bring it to a professional and tell them thats how you want it, then they should be able to do something with it to help your hair look more Avrils.

I'm not sure what you should do now. But next time you're going to straighten it, buy heat protectant lotion. You just rub it through your hair, and it won't fry it.

First of all you need to leave it alone and quit damaging it. Hair is like skin, once it is damaged it takes a lot of care to get it back pretty and strong again. When you burn your skin it looks awful and takes a while to heal. If you keep burning it, it never gets better, hair is the same way. This hairdo is just a lot of wave. If your hair is as damaged as you say, that is all it will do is frizz out and break off until it's in better shape.

You can use mousse to hold the wave. Use large heated curlers (the ones with the protective coating on them). Put mousse on your dry hair, just lightly coat a strand with mousse then roll it with a roller. Let it dry completely then run your fingers through your hair. This will stay pretty much until you wash it again.

Or you could use a curl activator. There are all kinds on the market. I prefer something from a salon, they are better. Like Redken, Nexxus etc....Wash your hair, then add a curl activator, use sparingly because all of them make your hair kind of stiff if you use too much. Let dry around 80% naturally. Then blow hair dry with head turned upside down for fullness.

The first thing you should be doing is using a hot oil repair treatment in the shower once a week or so. It will probably work better if you hair has not just been washed also. If you have thick hair getting it to look like that will take a long time, you would have to straighten it first, then curl it with a 2inch barrell curling iron. When you curl your hair, do not clamp the curling iron on it, just take each peice and physically wrap it around the iron. Hold each piece for around 30 seconds and spray with a light hold/smoothing spray. If you have fine hair you can skip the straightening. When you finish curling run your fingers through it to break up the pieces and finish with a firm hold spray and do not touch your hair again.
